Picnik is a photo editing tool that helps users tweak and improve their personal photographs. The user can correct image issues with a single click. Basic editing tools are included, such as crop, rotate and sharpen. The user can also resize images and increase or decrease exposure. Color options gives the user control over the saturation and temperature of an image. Stylish effects are also available that let the user transform an image into a black and white or sepia tone photo.
Other effects include infrared film, lomo-ish, vignette, matte, soften, boost, HDR-ish, night vision, 1960s style, tint, vibrance, CinemaScope and many more. Users can also add text and stickers over the image.
A collection of unique frames can be applied as well as seasonal effects.

Picnik was founded by Darrin Massena and Mike Harrington. The application has earned positive reviews and favorable comments from users. The user is automatically logged in after completing the second part of the form.

Anyone can create a Picnik account for free. There are no subscription requirements and the user never has to make a purchase to maintain account access. A Picnik Premium membership is available to users. Users can purchase a Premium account for $4.95 per month or $19.95 for a semi-annual subscription. An annual membership is available for $24.95. Premium members receive access to additional effects, fonts, stickers, editing tools, unlimited history, unlimited connections, priority feedback, full screen mode, layering, beauty tools and an ad-free experience.
